Where did real cartoons go?(1990s cartoons)

Many attempts were made to make cartoons to match the success of the Simpsons, and these were damn good, , those fellow humans who were born in late 80s and early 90s have seen the real good cartoons.

for example fish police,The series was part of a spate of attempts by major networks to develop prime timeanimated shows to compete with the surprise success of Fox's The Simpsons, alongside ABC's Capitol Critters (co-produced by Fox, which also produced The Simpsons) and CBS's own Family Dog. Hanna-Barbera Productions (which also worked on Capitol Critterspitched the series to CBS Entertainment, which quickly agreed to pick it up.[3] All three were cancelled in their first season.

and yet it is the best thing that i have ever seen or will ever see!!

WHAT MADE THEM SOOOO GOOOOD??

1. They came with a strict story line and with the entertainment they also gave us moral lessons, these days kinds just watch violence and sex and evil p[politics in cartoons or simply some irrelevant rubbish with no story.

2. Traditional animation (also called cell animation or hand-drawn animation) was the process used for most animated films of the 20th century. The individual frames of a traditionally animated film are photographs of drawings, which are first drawn on paper. To create the illusion of movement, each drawing differs slightly from the one before it. The animators' drawings are traced or photocopied onto transparent acetate sheets called cels, which are filled in with paints in assigned colors or tones on the side opposite the line drawings. The completed character cels are photographed one-by-one onto motion picture film against a painted background by a rostrum camera.

Full animation refers to the process of producing high-quality traditionally animated films, which regularly use detailed drawings and plausible movement. Fully animated films can be done in a variety of styles, from more realistically animated works such as those produced by the Walt Disney studio (Beauty and the BeastAladdinLion King) to the more 'cartoony' styles of those produced by the Warner Bros. animation studio. Many of the Disney animated features are examples of full animation, as are non-Disney works such as The Secret of NIMH (US, 1982), The Iron Giant (US, 1999), and Nocturna (Spain, 2007).
Limited animation involves the use of less detailed and/or more stylized drawings and methods of movement. Pioneered by the artists at the American studio United Productions of America, limited animation can be used as a method of stylized artistic expression, as in Gerald McBoing Boing (US, 1951), Yellow Submarine (UK, 1968), and much of the anime produced in Japan. Its primary use, however, has been in producing cost-effective animated content for media such as television (the work ofHanna-BarberaFilmation, and other TV animation studios) and later the Internet (web cartoons). Some recent examples are;Spongebob Squarepants (USA, 1999–present), The Fairly OddParents (USA, 2001–present) and Invader Zim (USA, 2001–2002, 2006).
Rotoscoping is a technique, patented by Max Fleischer in 1917, where animators trace live-action movement, frame by frame. The source film can be directly copied from actors' outlines into animated drawings, as in The Lord of the Rings (US, 1978), or used in a stylized and expressive manner, as in Waking Life (US, 2001) and A Scanner Darkly (US, 2006). Some other examples are: Fire and Ice (USA, 1983) and Heavy Metal (1981).
Live-action/animation is a technique, when combining hand-drawn characters into live action shots. One of the earlier uses of it was Koko the Clown when Koko was drawn over live action footage. Other examples would include Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (USA, 1988), Space Jam (USA, 1996) and Osmosis Jones (USA, 2002).

these types of techniques gave a very relaxed image ....
what is a relaxed image

its difficult to explain exactly what i mean so i put it in simple words

in older days animation it was like cartoons animated over a fixed canvas i.e a painting used as a screen to act as base for the cartoons
for eg. if yo see some older tom n jerry show you can observe that any object was to be lifted by tom from a bunch of objects then only that object would be detailed out of the frame an rest objects (not to change position) would be part of an immovable canvas .
But modern day Japanese and Korean  technology makes it a all movable  screen and provided with a HD support if needed

as a result

we need more attention to watch the modern cartoon as we need to grasp in more information from the screen
in old cartoons less amount of concentration and more fun since we are busy enjoin the humor than the technology, unless you are a pro animator.

us retro born kids have enjoyed more that these new tech savvy kids no doubt

3. take youself back to some 60's animated warner bros loony toons show or a tom and jerry show . DO NOT WATCH THE CARTOON JUST LISTEN TO THE MUSIC . You will feel the magic , so intense music , such genius orchestra. I fall short of words just try once.

why did this happen?

Change is the rule of nature but major old school animation companies started to animate with new tecnology finally ribbishing the golden age and for legendry studio Hanna-Barbera was Absorbed into Warner Bros. Animation and spun off intoCartoon Network Studios
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5d/Cartoon_Network_1992_logo.svg/2000px-Cartoon_Network_1992_logo.svg.png

and while these corporate changes were happening good old story telling died an slow death fighting the nonsense   inspired cartoons of today.

Now our beloved Micky Mouse is only seen in Disney land and archives of tom and jerry played off and on and Bugs Bunny left us without a trace .

MISS YOU GUYS , PLEASE COME BACK!!
